AIA has released new versions of their documents. The B162 (formerly the B621 INT-2002) has been updated!
This abbreviated version of B161–2002, is designed to assist U.S. architects that are working as a consultant for projects based in foreign countries. The document clarifies the assumptions, roles, responsibilities, and obligations of the parties; and facilitates the working and contractual relationship between the parties.
Because of foreign practices, the term Owner has been replaced with Client throughout the document. Also, since it is assumed that the U.S. architect is not licensed to practice architecture in the foreign country where the project is located, the term Consultant is used throughout the document to refer to the U.S. architect. B162–2002 was renumbered only in 2007; its content remains the same as in B621 INT–2002.Please note that in order to preserve document authenticity, Construction Book Express does not offer downloadable AIA forms. Construction Book Express will ship original paper AIA documents only.
