The 2009 ICC International Energy Conservation Code covers a wide range of topics encouraging the use of energy conservation through efficiency in envelope design, mechanical systems, lighting systems and the use of new materials and techniques. The code focuses on reaching goals that result in optimal utilization of fossil fuel and nondepletable resources in all-size communities.
