The 2006 Virginia Energy Conservation Code contains provisions and information specific to the State of Virginia, and is a fully integrated custom code based on the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. The provisions in this publication focus on the conservation of energy in both residential and commercial buildings. It also provides information for the use and installation of installation of energy efficient mechanical, lighting, and power systems. The Code has been revised to reflect specifics to the State of Virginia.
