This manual contains information about the design, materials and installation techniques applicable to architectural sheet-metal components. In addition, this manual provides background information regarding moisture issues in buildings such has ventilation for steep-slope roof assemblies and condensation control for low-slope roof systems. Also covered are considerations and guidelines for projects that involve tearing off, re-covering and replacement of old roof systems.

Each volume of the series is intended to be updated every four years. For example, The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems-2007 will be updated in 2011, The NRCA Roofing Manual: Metal Panel and SPF Roof Systems-2008 will be updated in 2012, etc. In addition, the stand-alone version of The NRCA Waterproofing Manual is expected to be updated in 2012.
