The 2003 International Fire Code coordinated with the International Building
Code, references national standards to comprehensively address fire safety
in new and existing buildings. Developed by a broad-based committee of fire
cheifs, fire marshals and other officals, the IFC extends beyond maintenance
for buildings and facilities.
Modern, up-to-date fire code addressing conditions hazardous to life and property
from fire, explosion, handling or use of hazardous materials, and the use and
occupancy of building and premises.
