Contains computer software and associated documentation that implements available models and algorithms for the calculation of space heat gains and losses due to all pertinent sensible and latent modes, the space conditioning load (defined as the rate of heat addition or extraction required to maintain a specified space temperature profile), and zone surface temperatures and space temperature when it is not specified. A key aspect of this project is presenting the relationship between the heat balance algorithm (or solution technique) and the fundamental equations required to calculate zone loads and temperatures. The CD contains printable Adobe PDF files and a version of Adobe Acrobat Reader suitable for most operating systems. Some files are in .XLS format, requiring Microsoft Excel. Also, the CD contains FORTRAN90 source files, which can be opened on any computer with a FORTRAN90 compiler. The FORTRAN90 compiler and Microsoft Excel are not included on the disc. Requires a 486 or Pentium-based computer and either Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.5 or later. For Windows 95 and NT, 8MB or RAM (16MB recommended) and 10MB of free hard-disk space is required.
