AIA has released new versions of their documents. The E201 is new!
The document establishes the procedures the parties agree to follow with respect to the transmission or exchange of digital data, including instruments of service. Digital data is defined as information, communications, drawings, or designs created or stored for a specific project in digital form. E201 does not create a separate license to use digital data, because AIA documents for design or construction, to which E201–2007 would be attached, already include those provisions. E201–2007 must be attached as an exhibit to an existing agreement, such as B101–2007, or A101–2007.
Document C106–2007, Digital Data Licensing Agreement Parties, may be used by parties not covered under E201.Please note that in order to preserve document authenticity, Construction Book Express does not offer downloadable AIA forms. Construction Book Express will ship original paper AIA documents only.
