The 2004 edition of the Rectangular Industrial Duct Construction Standards offers a new approach to the selection of material thickness and reinforcing systems for rectangular industrial duct subject to positive or negative pressures up to and over 100" w.g. and 30 ft. hanger spacing of duct sizes to 14' x 14' in 16 gauge to 1/2" plate. This standard also teaches users the procedures needed for designing class I, II, III and IV duct by the panel (top, sides and bottom) after considering loads to which each panel will be subjected. Other topics covered in this Standard include the effects of abrasives, particulate loading, corrosives, high temperature and product and environmental contamination. This standard is referenced in the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists' (ACGIH) Industrial Ventilation Manual and in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 91. 136 pp.
