The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Codes (IAPMO)

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Codes (IAPMO) developed the Uniform Plumbing Code to ensure public health and safety. The Uniform Plumbing Code assists professionals in the plumbing industry by providing a comprehensive set of codes and standards for the design, installation, inspection and repair of plumbing and related materials. The Uniform Plumbing Code has been adopted worldwide and is supported by the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors; the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters and the National Fire Protection Association, among others.

IAPMO, a membership association, develops a complete line of supporting documents including Illustrated Training Manuals, Study Guides, Answers & Analysis and other peripherals to assist the plumbing and mechanical industry in the safe installation of plumbing and mechanical systems.
