The 2005 edition of the NFPA 35 - Standard for the Manufacture of Organic Coatings provides requirements for fire-safe design and operation of facilities that manufacture organic chemical-based coatings. These materials may include but aren't limited to paints and inks. This updated edition of the Standard also includes many new changes and additions, outlined below. Approx. 26 pp.

• New criteria for electrical area classification specific to organic coatings manufacture
• New requirements for "hotboxes" (drum heating enclosures)
