NFPA 1932: Standard on Use, Maintenance, and Service Testing of In-Service Fire Department Ground Ladders specifies requirements for the use, maintenance, inspection, and service testing of in-service fire department ground ladders to ensure reasonable safety for fire fighters and victims climbing on those ground ladders.
Requirements in the 2010 NFPA 1932 have been expanded to include multi-purpose ladders.
Because NFPA 1901 now recognizes the installation of multi-purpose ladders in lieu of folding ladders on fire service apparatus, NFPA 1932 add requirements for testing to ensure multi-purpose ladders are tested and maintained for fire service duty. 17 pp.
