NFPA 1194 - Standard for Recreational Vehicle Parks and Campgrounds, 2005 Edition

NFPA 1194 merges ANSI requirements for recreational facilities in parks and campgrounds!

The information contained in NFPA 1194 replaces ANSI A119.4 as a single Standard, and contains safety requirements that are largely drawn from or based on nationally recognized standards for fire, health, and life safety. Coverage includes safety-related design and construction features for recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds, and information that addresses facilities offering temporary living sites for use by recreational vehicles, recreational park trailers, and other camping units with minimum construction requirements.

Additional coverage and technical changes include:

• Safety of electrical distribution systems
  
• Safety of LP-Gas storage and dispensing
  
• Fire protection
  
• Revisions of requirement to address the larger scale of recreational vehicles
  
• Specific requirements for wildland urban interface areas
