Regular, uniform records of your jobs provide several opportunities to
increase your bottom line. Improved record keeping will lead to better project
organization, a better understanding of the work and the costs, fewer hassles
over disputed changes and ultimately increased profitability.
Each page of the Construction and Maintenance Daily Log helps you record that
day's important events. There is a heading for each section so you keep
consistent records. The log makes it easy to keep good notes so that you or your
supervisors can maintain better records. You may find your completed log book to
be an excellent estimating tool for bidding on similar jobs in the future. It
can also help you save time by having your notes organized and together in one
place.
The Construction and Maintenance Daily Log has a specially sewn binding for
ease in writing. The premium binding process allows the log to lie flat when it
is open, making it easier for you to write your notes. It's durability means
your log book will hold up well.
The top of the daily page is dated with the month, date and the first two
digits of the year. First, you fill in the last two digits of the year and the
day of the week. Then you begin your record keeping by making notes about the
work performed that day, the weather, work force composition, and the topic of
your safety meeting. As the day goes on, you may want to make notes on problems
and delays, sub-contractor progress, equipment usage and the material purchased.
Don't forget to sign the bottom of the page at the end of the day, and get
signatures for changes, modifications, and changes to the day's plan.
