2006 International Building Code

The first edition of the International Building Code was initially developed by three regional groups, with a slightly different set of codes administered for each specific region of the United States as defined by the groups and based on regional factors affecting buildings and construction. In 1994, the International Code Council developed one uniform set of codes and standards that had no regional boundary. The International Building Code has since been adopted nationwide, although some states do have their own provisions and amendments based on their own regional factors.

The 2006 International Building Codes are essential reference tools for all professionals in the building, construction, and relayed trades.
