This AIA A102-2007 is used to establish an agreement between the owner and contractor for use on large projects that require a negotiated guaranteed maximum price, when the basis of payment to the contractor is the cost of the work plus a fee that is typically negotiated.
A102–2007 adopts by reference and is intended for use with A201™–2007, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. A102–2007 is not intended for use in competitive bidding.
